What is the cancellation policy if i book direct with Alpes Travel?
You will benefit from a more flexible cancellation policy if you book direct, you can cancel free of charge up till 1 month before arrival. The 5% service fee is non - refundable.
Do i get a return client discount?
Yes, you will get a 5% return client discount on direct bookings, you will be issued with a return client discount code.
Will I have to pay a security deposit to book my Chamonix accommodation?
We take a security deposit in case of any damage to the property, but this is taken on the day of arrival not when you book. For properties up to 6 guests, the damage deposit is set at 250 euros, and for properties over 6 guests it is set at 500 euros. The security deposit will be a hold on your credit card that you used to pay for your holiday. The hold is release after your departure providing there are no issues. If you would rather we used an alternative form of payment for the security deposit please let us know.
If you have booked your Chamonix accommodation through Airbnb, the security deposit will be held by Airbnb. If the security deposit capture fails on your credit card supplied, our resort rep who will meet you at your accommodation in Chamonix will ask you to fill in a deposit form with an alternative form of payment during Check-In.
Can children stay for free in an Alpes Travel property in Chamonix?
We can provide a free travel cot for children under the age of 2 years old, meaning they do not count towards the total number of guests allowed in a property. Please let us know if you would require a cot at the time of booking (Please note that do not provide linen or blankets for travel cots)
Can I bring my pet to an Alpes Travel property?
Some of our holiday rental apartments in Chamonix do allow pets for a surcharge of 15 euros per pet per night. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can check if pets are allowed in the Chamonix accommodation you wish to book. The holiday property needs to be left clean of all pet hairs and damage otherwise an extra charge will be incurred from your deposit.

When can I check into my Chamonix holiday accommodation & what is the process?
One of our team will meet you at your holiday accommodation on the afternoon of your arrival after 16.00. Many of our properties have key boxes, so you may be able let themselves into your apartment or chalet and one of our team will visit you as soon as they are available.
Check ins after 8pm will incur a late check in fee of 50 euros which increases to 75 euros after 10pm, however if your property has a keysafe box you can let yourself in and our representative will be happy to come and see you the following morning. Late check in fees will be payable in cash directly to our representative on arrival.
Early check ins are possible if the property is not booked the night before, the charge will be 50 euros. Please check with our operations team before your arrival to see if this is possible.
Our check in process is below:
1. We will send you an email two weeks before arrival with information about the check in process for your particular property. This email will include directions to your apartment or chalet in Chamonix and the code for the keysafe if your accommodation has one available.
2. Please then email our Operations Manager on ops@alpestravel.com when you know your approximate time of arrival in Chamonix as soon as you know it.
3. On the morning of your day of arrival in Chamonix, you will receive a text from +33749381876 to touch base before your arrival. Please then text back with a more precise arrival time so that we can plan our schedule accordingly. If you are held up in traffic or are delayed, please keep us informed by text.
What about Check Out times?
Check out time is 10am. It may possible to check out later if the property is not booked, the charge will be 75 euros till 2pm or 125 euros till 10pm. Please check with our operations team before your check out to see if this is possible.

What is included in our Chamonix rental?
All bed linen is included in our properties. A bath towel is included for each guest or two bath towels for our chalets or apartments in Chamonix with hot tubs.
Being mindful of our sustainability footprint, we have reduced the number of hand towels in our properties to just one hand towel per sink as well as an individually wrapped soap.
In the kitchen of our properties we provide a sponge, a small re-fillable washing up liquid bottle, a starter pack of dishwasher tablets and a spare bin bag.

Raclette Machines/Fondu Sets
A number of our properties already have raclette machines or fondu sets. Please contact us to see if your Chamonix accommodation has one in-situ. If not, we have a number of raclette machines and fondu sets that you can rent for your weekly stay. These are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Mags on ops@alpestravel.com or text on +33 749 381876 to book. Raclette machines are charged at €15 a week and fondu sets at €20.

We have specified on each property page the type of coffee machine each property.
Is the public transport in Chamonix free?
Unless you've booked through Airbnb, you will be given a Carte d'Hote card on your arrival by one of our team, which will allow you to travel free on the train and buses in the Chamonix Valley. This card can also give you discount on entry into the swimming pool, on the country country ski track and various other promotions.
Carte d'Hotes are provided free of charge to all guests who stay in our holiday apartments and chalets in Chamonix on payment of the local tourist tax (taxe de sejour) which is included in the price of your holiday.
If you have booked through Airbnb, you will need to go to the Tourist Office to pick up your Carte d'Hotes as Airbnb pay the taxe de sejour direct. Just take confirmation of your booking with you.
