Located in the picturesque village of Les Bois, Chalet La Cloche des Bois is a three bedroom, two bathroom chalet comfortably sleeping four. Within walking distance is the new Flégère ski lift, the golf club and various restaurants and bars. Situated in a peaceful ‘cul de sac’, the chalet benefits from breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc range from its sunny terrace and, with its well thought out interior, it provides a great base for your adventures in the Chamonix Valley.

The location 

La Cloche des Bois is a semi-detached chalet located on a quiet ‘Cul de Sac’ in Les Bois. The neighbourhood of Les Bois is much sought out for its proximity to the ski lifts and cross-country skiing trails and the easy access to the hiking trails. The views are very impressive, with the towery Drus and Aiguille Verte to one side of the chalet and the Mont Blanc massif to the other side. 

You can drive into Chamonix in 5 minutes, or you can take the picturesque path that leads through the Bois de Bouchet into the town centre. The train station is a 5 minute walk from the chalet, and using the Carte d’Hote provided you can ride the Mont Blanc Express into Chamonix town or in the opposite direction towards Martigny. The free buses also stop close by to the chalet and run along the length of the valley. 

There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance, as well as a village shop and the popular Chamonix Golf course and the Flégère telecabine.

The details 

The main entrance is on the ground floor and leads to a well-equipped independent kitchen with everything you will need to cook up delicious meals. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with WC, and a comfortable living area and dining area with access onto a sunny terrace and a shared garden with breathtaking views of the impressive peaks. Perfect for children, the shared gardens provide a large space to roam safely. (Please note that the fireplace is not available for use) 

On the top floor, there are three bedrooms. The master ‘mezzanine’ style bedroom has a double bed, and is open on one side of the room to look over the living room. From the large Velux window you can view Mont Blanc and the peaks surrounding it. The other two bedrooms each have a double bed and storage cupboards, and both have Velux windows showing off the peaks. On this floor there is also a bathroom with a bath, over bath shower, a WC and sink. 

In the basement, there is an entertainment space with a large flat screen TV showing local channels. This room leads through to a laundry room with washer and dryer, as well as a boot dryer and plenty of space for ski-kit. Direct access to the underground garage is possible from this floor, very convenient if using the car to access the different ski areas of the valley. There is also plenty of space for storage of skis and bikes and as well as the underground parking, there is also an outside space for a second car.

What’s Included

Self-catered bookings include linen/towels for each bed  (there is a 25 euro per stay supplement for a sofa bed pack if your property has a sofa bed you wish to use), end of stay cleaning and local taxe de séjour (tourist tax). This allows you to benefit from the Carte d’Hotes giving you free travel on the trains and reductions on entry to the museums and other attractions. Standard check-in is between 4-8pm and check-out is by 10am. Early or late check-in and check-out might be available and can be booked through your guest area.

Payment terms and Cancellation 

To confirm the booking, you must pay 30% of the total cost. Along with the accommodation fee, you will be charged a local tourist tax of 2.3 euros per adult per night and a non-refundable booking fee of 5%. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the provided card 30 days before your arrival. You will receive an email notification prior to the balance being charged.

If you cancel your booking via email up to 30 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund, excluding the 5% booking fee. However, within 30 days of arrival, the booking becomes non-refundable.
