Apartment Demi de Melee is a modern and well equipped four bedroom, three bathroom apartment sleeping eight guests. Located in the popular alpine village of Argentière, the famous Grands Montets ski area is just a 5 minute walk. The apartment benefits from a wonderfully social and bright open plan living space which has a wood burning stove and plenty of comfy seating. This opens directly onto a large sun terrace with a shared hot tub and impressive views of the Mont Blanc Massif.

The location 

The apartment is located in the centre of the village of Argentière. It is just a 5 minute walk from the gondola giving access to the Grands Montets ski area which is famously the home of some of the Chamonix Valley’s more challenging pistes. In winter there is a cross country ski track nearby and in summer Argentière is the start point for many amazing hiking trails. The apartment is situated directly above arguably the best bakery in the Valley, so fresh croissants each morning couldn’t be more convenient. The village of Argentière has a great range of bars, restaurants and shops providing plenty of options for après ski, lunch and dinner. Additionally there is a bus stop and train station within 5 minutes walk of the apartment which gives you easy access to the other villages and ski areas of the Chamonix Valley.

The apartment is located above a bakery and although this is mostly seen as connivence as the bakery is of the best in the valley, it’s worth mentioning and those who are are light sleepers have heard disturbance during their stay.

The details 

The apartment is on the first floor of a small residence. It has a bright open plan living/kitchen/dining area with comfy sofas, TV, a wood burning stove and a spacious dining table. The living space opens up onto a large decked terrace with fantastic views and which boasts a gas BBQ and hot tub . (The hot tub is shared with the apartment above). The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, oven, stove, coffee machine and dishwasher. All four bedrooms are spacious and sleep two in twin beds. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite with shower, basin and WC, bedrooms 2 and 3 share an ensuite with shower, basin and WC and bedroom 4 has an ensuite with a bath, shower, basin and WC. Additionally there is a separate WC. Externally there is a secure ski and boot room with boot dryers and a parking space. Alpes Travel also manages Apartment Deuxieme Melee, directly above. Together they sleep a total of 14. If you are a large group, please get in contact to find out if both apartments are available.

What’s Included

Self-catered bookings include linen/towels for each bed  (there is a 25 euro per stay supplement for a sofa bed pack if your property has a sofa bed you wish to use), end of stay cleaning and local taxe de séjour (tourist tax). This allows you to benefit from the Carte d’Hotes giving you free travel on the trains and reductions on entry to the museums and other attractions. Standard check-in is between 4-8pm and check-out is by 10am. Early or late check-in and check-out might be available and can be booked through your guest area.

Payment terms and Cancellation 

To confirm the booking, you must pay 30% of the total cost. Along with the accommodation fee, you will be charged a local tourist tax of 4.6 euros per adult per night and a non-refundable booking fee of 5%. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the provided card 30 days before your arrival. You will receive an email notification prior to the balance being charged.

If you cancel your booking via email up to 30 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund, excluding the 5% booking fee. However, within 30 days of arrival, the booking becomes non-refundable.
