Apartment Forclaz 4B in Chamonix is a great value, one-bedroom apartment, sleeping up to four guests with the additional use of a sofa bed. Conveniently located in Chamonix Sud, in under 5 minutes you can walk to the centre of Chamonix, the main bus station and the Aiguille du Midi lift. The apartment also benefits from a balcony facing the Brévent ski area and an underground parking space. The apartment is located in Chamonix Sud which is an excellent location for easy access to the town centre and transport links to the rest of the Chamonix Valley. Just 2 minutes from the apartment in Chamonix Sud are a number of popular restaurants and bars as well as an excellent bakery and small supermarket (open in high-season). The main pedestrianised high street of Chamonix, with even more amenities is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The nearby Chamonix Sud bus station is the main transport hub for the Chamonix Valley. Buses from here give easy access to all the ski areas and other villages in the Valley as well as further afield such as Geneva and Italy. The Aiguille du Midi lift, elevating you up to 3800m with spectacular views of Mont Blanc is also on your doorstep. Apartment Forclaz offers an ideal location for those who want to be in the action of Chamonix and close to great transport links.
The apartment is on the 4th floor of an apartment building with access to a lift. There is an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with sofa bed, TV and wifi. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, hob, microwave, coffee machine and kettle. Opening from the living area is a balcony facing the Brevent ski area and overlooking the river Arve. The bedroom is situated on a mezzanine and has one double bed. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, WC and basin. There is also an undercover parking space for one car (parking is on a first come, first served basis).
Self-catered bookings include linen/towels for each bed (there is a 25 euro per stay supplement if you wish to use the sofa bed pack), end of stay cleaning and local taxe de séjour (tourist tax). This allows you to benefit from the Carte d’Hotes giving you free travel on the trains and reductions on entry to the museums and other attractions. Standard check-in is between 4-8pm and check-out is by 10am. Early or late check-in and check-out might be available and can be booked through your guest area.
Payment terms and Cancellation
To confirm the booking, you must pay 30% of the total cost. Along with the accommodation fee, you will be charged a local tourist tax of 4.6 euros per adult per night and a non-refundable booking fee of 5%. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the provided card 30 days before your arrival. You will receive an email notification prior to the balance being charged.
If you cancel your booking via email up to 30 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund, excluding the 5% booking fee. However, within 30 days of arrival, the booking becomes non-refundable.
The apartment is very centrally located and with the loft is a great size for two people, the bed was large and very comfortable. It has a nice little balcony which overlooks the river and mountains (non Mont Blanc side) and is a great spot to watch the paragliders come down to land! There is parking in the building and check in/check out was also very easy. The kitchenette is equipped with a coffee machine, it was enough to make meals of a morning and evening.
A great flat, ideal for a ski week! Close to town, a supermarket just next door, and with everything you need. Host was super responsive and available all the time.
